Below is a great drill to help develop your athletes agility. The drill requires the athlete to not only change direction but to also transition from one type of movement to another. In most sports athletes execute a variety of movement types. In the clip below, Rob Rose of True Athlete Performance, demonstrates the “T-Drill”. In the drill the athlete is required to sprint forward and stop before transitioning to a side shuffle. He must the transition from a shuffle to a sprint and then back to a shuffle. The drill ends with a back pedal. The T-Drill is excellent for any sport that requires change of direction and several types of movements.
